Chantelle (Born 2000) is a rose grey alpaca, although her body is more black/white grey, but she has brown on her legs.. Her first cria with us, Thor, was mid brown and white, with touches of grey, until he was sheared. His 2nd coat was rose grey, just like mum. Sadly Chantelle miscarried twins in 2009. Twins are very, very rare in alpacas, most miscarrying at about 5-8 months. She is an excellent mum, with her cria growing very quickly, but she tends to lose condition as she feeds them, so her cria are usually weaned early. She is now retired.
