Harlequin Leopard Appaloosa

Harlequin Leopard Appaloosa Alpacas are even rarer than leopard appaloosas The base colour of a harlequin is fawn at birth, but over their first few years, darkens to grey. If the harlequin is also a leopard appaloosa then it will have spots on the fawn background. Depending on how dark the grey becomes (anything from a light silver rey to a dark, almost black grey) and the colour of the spots, will depend on how spotty the alpacas appears as a mature adult.

Domino is a good example of a dark spotted harlequin darkening until the spots are almost not visible.
