Kate Brookes Experience and Qualifications

Coaching Experience:
After many years as a mentor and informal coach Kate began her formal training as a coach with The Coaching Academy in 2011 and is now a qualified Personal Performance Coach (Distinction) and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner and Corporate and Executive Coach. Their extensive training programme has ensured that she has completed many assessed sessions, receiving excellent reviews and assessments. She has then gone on to build a successful coaching practice, working with clients from all over the UK, mainly coaching by telephone and internet.

Policing Experience:
Kate has worked in the Metropolitan Police, Wiltshire and Devon and Cornwall Constabularies. She first qualified as a trainer in 1989 and taught probationary police officers. She has delivered and designed leadership training courses for senior police leaders in Executive, Business and Professional Policing Skills. She also trained Positive Action Personal Development courses for senior police leaders from minority groups. Her training career has taken her to the Middle East, training the first all female police leadership course in Qatar, and training international delegates from Europe, Hong Kong, Iraq, USA, India, Australia and many other countries.

Training Qualifications:
Kate’s many training qualifications include a Certificate in Education completed with Southampton University in 2010/11 and QTLS status. She is a trainer for Myers Briggs Type Indicators (MBTI) and in Situational Leadership Techniques (Ken Blanchard).
She has been an assessor in many disciplines, including CMI Leadership & Management (level 6), Police Recruitment (SEARCH), Police Promotion (OPSPRE), Job Evaluation (HAY) and other systems. From 1992 to the present she has regularly been an assessor at national promotion assessment centres and also assessed a variety of styles of promotion boards in Wiltshire, Northamptonshire and South Wales.
